Last Weekend DH and I got some time out and took in 2 shows at the Melbourne Comedy Festival.  Apart from all the sickness that followed in my house, I had an absolute ball.

After collecting our tix we hunted around for something to eat.  We thought about making a special night of it and finding some fancy place in Fed square…..but we decided on this little road side cafe on Swanston St - the Golden ...

Gasto flew through my family like I have never seen it before.  First my liitle girl Stephanie (2) was violently ill on Friday.  She woke up at 7am and began vomiting every 20 min ALL DAY.  she came good at about 4pm to the point where she wanted to eat some dry biccies.  She went to bed like an angel ...

I took my nephew (along with my hubby, brother his girlfriend and another friend) to see the Red Hot Chilli Peppers last week in Melbourne.

It was at the Myer Music Bowl which means it was an outdoor gig.  I was worried - April in Melbourne!!!!  Surprisingly the weather was perfect.  We didn’t have great seat (well NO seats - General Admission!) so couldn’t see much at all.

Has any one seen that weid, kinda disturbing tv ad for a video camera (think it might be Sony).  The one where an older woman is ‘pashing’ a young guy (probably 18, but he looks about 16!)

I find this a bit offensive I guess.  That might be a strong word, but I can’t think of another one.  but it just seems really odd to me that they would choose something like that to advertise their ...

Ok - who else is a Reality TV junky?  **hands up**

But I’m a selective junky - There are only certain shows I watch more than others.  Right now I’m watching The Amazing Race.  Someone is chucking a hissy fit and this is what I find the funniest.  People loose it over the stupidest things!  I’ll give to em though - I don’t think I could be in a comp like that…..my nerves are far too ...

We all use the word ‘BLOG’ , it seems more and more these days.  It suddenly struck me that I didn’t really know what the word Blog meant!  Where did it come from? What does it mean?

Well did you know - BLOG is a portmanteau…….which means it is a word made up of a blend of words.  In this case ‘web log’

So now I know!  and you all have one more piece of useless information ...

We managed to get the MIL to babysit - which she never does.  There is always something else going on.  Mind you she tried to come up with an excuse when we first asked, but then she thought better of it and said she’d love to have them for the weekend.  YIPPEEEE
